Investors and companies have been raising large sums to fund AI development and data centres. Rising compute and infrastructure costs have pushed startups and operators to seek venture rounds, convertible notes, debt and IPOs this year to finance growth and hardware investment.

For example, Bloomberg said Emulate "is seeking a valuation of $3 billion pre-money" and that Model ML "is in talks to raise more than $100 million at a valuation above $1 billion." On the infrastructure side, Bloomberg noted a data‑centre provider "is targeting a listing at the end of October" and that a five‑year note will "help finance construction of a data center in Sandersville, Georgia," according to regulatory filings. Bloomberg further reported scheduled investor calls and expected pricing for a transaction this week, indicating at least one debt offering is progressing toward pricing. Taken together, these pieces show a pattern: multiple private negotiations are running in parallel, ranging from venture rounds and strategic investments to debt offerings and public listings. Bloomberg's accounts repeatedly stress confidentiality and fluid terms: reports quote unnamed people saying details "could change" and that there is "no certainty an agreement will ultimately be reached."
